I am submitting to you the WNT TEAM CANADA ROSTER (12 roster + 5 alt) LIST for Canada 2013 Women's Futsal Pre-World Cup.
I have been a long and productive work, with lots of high and down. However, we started the scouting 2012 for 250 women's players in all over Ontario OWSL, OYSL, TSA, TCSL and other club and leagues, as well as in the CAA Canadian University and Colleges Women's Soccer and Indoor Soccer, and United States Universities NCAA Div.1 teams where there are Canadian players for those teams.
After the first stage, we had a preliminary team in 2012, led by former captain Madison Ala and players such as Monika Cordero-Flores. We started the formal WNT TEAM CANADA Selection and Training Camp during the third week of February 2013 and until today, we have carried out up to 50 practices of 2 hours each, including FITNESS Assessment through NIKE SPARQ Testing (done by all the world's best national teams, including USA, Germany, Japan, Canada, Norway, Brazil, France, England, etc).

Our team average in Cooper Test was 2,400 mts in 12 minutes, our top player in fitness did 2,800 mts +; in 20 metres run, our average was 3.3 with the fastest player exacting 3.2 sec injured (she is a 2.9 sec fully healthy), and then, the results are pretty good, now we have to be out of our comfort zone and set bigger fitness targets for Pre-World Cup and World Cup.
We have come to meet the international High-Performance standards and - below and attached with all first testing results- you will be happy to see that we will have a great physical conditioning, technical and tactical skills, and a team prepared psychologically for the tasks at the Canada 2013 Women's Pre-World Cup and Colombia 2013 II AMF Women's World Cup.
We brought 60 players to WNT Training and Selection Camp. The ones below are who were committed to all testing and have at least regular practice attendance or where self-training or doing to high-performance standards with their OYSL, OWSL, CAA or NCAA competitive or varsity teams. Some of them are National MVPs or ONT MVP, some are in the All-Stars Teams in Canada and United States, others have gone to play for U-17 and U-120 FIFA World Cup for WNT Jamaica and Chile Qualifying rounds, with up to 8 international matches played.
I have selected for this phase a roster of 12 players plus 5 alternates players.
I am calling all 4 GKs now to work in goalkeeping training for two more weeks, and I will name the two starting ones plus one back up.
For field players, I have named 13 players. Then, one week previous to the Pre-World Cup I will leave the 10 final field players (if we confirm the Brock University tournament, I will keep all 13 field players)plus staring and back up GKs.
I have received Sonia O'Neill training and game schedule from Niagara University, NY, USA (Div. 1, NCCA) and I will speak over the phone with her to set our standard training and the dates when she will be coming to practice weekly with WNT TEAM CANADA. Stephanie Cimino did the same, on behalf of the Humber College players in the WNT (Alora Walcott, Jayde Wiklund-Roach, Stephanie Cimino, Ashley Osorio, and Kayla Moreno), I did receive their practice and game dates, we will be in contact with their coach and will integrate their NCAA and CAA training with our technical-tactical needs.
Also, coming to regular practices, I will bring Madison Ala - who is our former WNT captain-  recovering from ACL surgery who is waiting the final OK by the orthoepaedic doctor to come back to full load training. Same for Oshneika Campbell, DF from Brams United, who is recovering from injury. I am very interesting in having Soraia Lavareda for the Colombia 2013 Women's World Cup, but she is in Europe for a month, she couldn't do the testing, no considering her for Pre-World Cup, but she can come to regular training with WNT in the meantimes. Mara Di Domenicis, MVP, captain at SVUP University in NCAA Div,1 in United States, will integrate little by little with the team thinking in the World Cup training. Her power and techniques are superb but I need to fully test her physically.
Having all the schedules organized and confirmed, I will let you for a indoor training facility starting next week.
Sincerely yours.
